When she’s not busy churning out tunes or marching down the red carpet of the world’s hottest events, Selena Gomez is a gold mine when it comes to endorsements and brands scurry to snatch up the sweetheart for their campaigns. The latest is hair care brand Pantene, who has just announced the 22-year-old as their newest cover girl.
‘I am thrilled and honored to be representing the new Pantene,’ she says in a promotional video released earlier today.
‘I can’t wait to see what we’re gonna do, and we’re gonna have an awesome, awesome year.’
Gomez has recently been under the spotlight for more than her talents. From rumors of weight gain to her tumultuous non-relationship with Justin Bieber, the public can’t seem to get enough of Selena. Pantene has chosen the ideal spokeswoman, as Selena admits to being a life-long fan of the brand.
‘I’m always changing my hair style,’ she said. ‘I rely on Pantene to keep my hair strong and healthy so I can take on each day with confidence.’
Last year, the star spoke to Into the Gloss about hair care struggles, which we know can be all too real.
‘When my hair is natural, I have that Latina feel – it gets wavy and frizzy and I’ve had to learn to love it,’ she said.
‘It’s so fun to feel your inner girl, like, playing with your hair and just feeling beautiful…Their message for women [that] being strong is beautiful, and what they represent, is so what I embody.”
